Although Freud, Hockney, and Bacon were well acquainted, the public never witnessed them together in one room. Here, the artists enter a world that spans time and place to discuss portraiture. The Microsoft co-founder's curation spanned 500 years of art history, and all of the estate's sale proceeds were donated to philanthropic causes.
