Hockney, Freud and Bacon Talk Portraiture
Although Freud, Hockney, and Bacon were well acquainted, the public never witnessed them together in one room. Here, the artists enter a world that spans time and place to discuss portraiture.
My role: Concept / Director / Writer / Creative and Art Director / Producer
The Paul G. Allen Collection was the most valuable private collection sold at auction. The Microsoft co-founder's curation spanned 500 years of art history, and all of the estate's sale proceeds were donated to philanthropic causes.
Featured artworks:
Lucian Freud, "Large Interior, W11 (after Watteau)"
David Hockney, "The Conversation"
Francis Bacon, "Three Studies for Self-Portrait"
Associate Producer: Cassie Sailsman
DP: Jonathan Chekroune
Enormous thank you to my ride-or-die editor Cooper Troxell, Cotrox Productions!
Oh, the many miracles involved in this project! 12 hours to produce, 20 hours to edit, 24 hours to earn rights and clearances before publishing.
